Galveston's Dickens On The Strand Is Rescheduled
The 43rd Annual event was met last weekend with soggy conditions that included flash flooding in some communities.
GALVESTON, TX - The Galveston Historical Foundation announced on Monday that the 43rd annual Dickens on the Strand festival in Galveston has been extended into next weekend.
Heavy rains and flash flooding in some areas along the bay cast a dampened festivities over the weekend, creating a lower-than-normal attendance for the popular holiday event.
This is the first time in the festival's history that Dickens on the Strand will be extended.
