Harvey Cleanup Efforts End In Dickinson, Friendswood
Harvey Headache: Residents say there is still a lot of storm damaged debris that they will have to pay to remove themselves.

FRIENDSWOOD, TX — It hardly seems fair, but that is the way it is for the residents in Dickinson and Friendwood — two communities severely impacted by Hurricane Harvey.
On Saturday, the cities of Friendswood and Dickinson announced the end of debris removal from their city, but the process is far from complete.
In fact, there is still plenty of trash and debris that is still left, according to a KTRK report.

Since September, Friendswood has collected 140,000 cubic yards of debris, while Dickinson has picked up 170,000 cubic yards fro in front of homes and businesses.
With debris collection ending, residents who are still cleaning up will have to find a way to dispose of the debris that is considered hazardous waste, and do it without being fined for illegal dumping.

However they are able to clean up is now the responsibility of the home and property owners in those communities.
