Houston Area Schools Will Be Open Thursday
School districts in Houston have begun alerting parents that classes will resume Thursday after two days of icy conditions closed schools.

The accumulation of ice and snow that blanketed the area, causing hazardous road conditions and the cancellation or delay of flights at both of Houston’s airports, made conditions worse.

However, with the appearance of the sun Wednesday morning temperatures have already begun to surge, with temperatures in some parts of the Houston region rising to 32 degrees by noon.
The Texas Education Agency could mandate that school districts make up those two days, especially since so many days were missed during Hurricane Harvey.
