La Marque PD To Begin Enforcement On Warrant Round Up

Since Feb. 9, the La Marque Police has been notifying anyone with an arrest warrant to turn themselves in, or voluntarily resolve their case

LA MARQUE, TX — If you have an outstanding arrest warrant in La Marque, you may want to take care of that soon.

The La Marque Police Department are partnering with the US Marshal Service for the second phase of the statewide warrant roundup this weekend.

Since Feb. 9, the La Marque Police has been notifying anyone with an arrest warrant to turn themselves in, or voluntarily resolve their case in municipal court.

But the clock is ticking, and the grace period for taking care of those warrants ends on Friday 23.

The second phase, or enforcement phase of the roundup, begins Saturday, February 24.
This is the enforcement period, or Round Up Arrest Day.

During this time, individuals will be arrested at their homes, work and around town and brought to jail to address their outstanding warrants.

"We encourage those who have active warrants in La Marque to make contact with the Municipal Court and may arrangements for payment," said La Marque Municipal Court Administrator Rosemary Bell.
"Avoid being arrested at your home or place of employment."
