La Porte Man Arrested, Charged With Assaulting Girlfriend And Good Samaritan
Police also charged him with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle when they allegedly caught him driving a stolen car.
LA PORTE, TX -- A La Porte man is behind bars after he allegedly assaulted a good samaritan who was trying to stop a fight between him and his girlfriend.
The incident was reported at about 7 p.m. on Feb. 23, in the 400 block of West Fairmont Parkway.

According to police, Michael Waddy, 31, was assaulting his girlfriend, when a good samaritan intervened, which led to Waddy also assaulting the good samaritan.
Waddy ran, but was later caught during a traffic stop when police pulled him over for driving a stolen car.

Waddy was arrested and charged with two counts of assault, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
He is being held in the Harris County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bond.
