La Porte Police Release Sketch From Sexual Assault

The victim told police she was walking by herself when a man pulled her into a wooded area and sexually assaulted her.

LA PORTE, TX — The La Porte Police Department has released a sketch of the man that sexually assaulted a young girl near the La Porte City Library on April 29.

The assault happened in the 600 block of South Broadway.

The girl told police she was walking by herself, when a man pulled her into a wooded area and sexually assaulted her.

The girl described the man as being between 20-30 years old, with the word "date" tattooed on his right wrist, and a tattoo of a woman on his upper chest near his shoulder.

The tattoo of the woman may also have lettering, police said.

The girl told police the man who attacked her was white with short brown hair, a stubble beard, hazel eyes, and wearing a black tank top with white boxers.

The suspect is believed to be in the 5-feet 3inches tall to 5-feet 6-inches tall.

The La Porte Police Department is actively investigating this case.
