Man Choreographs Flash Mob Mardi Gras Marriage Proposal

GALVESTON, TX -- Maybe it was the look in her eyes, or maybe it was the dancing juice, but whatever it was, the lyrics of a popular Bruno Mars tune opened the door to the next phase in life for a young Houston area couple.

Using the backdrop of the Galveston Mardi Gras celebration and the stellar dance moves of his buddies, John Galloway pulled off a memorable marriage proposal to his girlfriend Wendy Hernandez.

Backed up by Bruno Mars’ popular “Marry You” tune, Galloway and his friends, who’d worked on a dance routine since Thanksgiving, busted a move on the Galveston Strand, Saturday afternoon while Hernandez, and a host of their friends looked on.

At the end of the routine, Galloway strolled over, knelt down to present her ring, and ask for her hand in marriage.

Of course, she said yes.
