Man Killed During Raid By League City Police

League City Police shot and killed a man while serving an arrest warrant early Tuesday morning.

LEAGUE CITY, TX — Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that left a man dead early Tuesday.

The shooting happened at about 5 a.m. at a home in the 300 block of Morningside Drive, where members of the League City Police Department were serving an arrest warrant.

When officers went into the home, the man was shot and died inside the home, KTRK reported.

No one else in the home was injured.

The officers involved in the shooting were placed on paid administrative leave, as per department policy, KPRC reported.

This is the second officer-involved shooting this week.

On Monday, a La Porte Police detective who was serving a warrant on 32-year old Jeremy Endsley, shot the suspect when he tried to escape.

The incident in League City is being investigated by the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office.
