Police Investigating After Missing Elderly Man Found Dead On Bolivar Peninusula

Claude Credeur, 86, was found dead, while his wife Lena Credeur was taken to an area hospital: Reports

BOLIVAR PENINSULA, TX — Investigstors are looking into the death of an 86-year old man after his nbody was discovered early Thursday on a storm ravaged beach on Bolivar Peninsula.

Claude and Lena Credeur, who were the subject of a state-wide Silver Alert earlier this week, were found on the beach near one of areas hardest hit by Tropical Storm Cindy with their 1997 Dodge 1500 pickup. Galveston County Sheriff’s deputies found Claude Credeur, 86, dead inside the the pickup, and 81-year old Lena Credeur. either ill or injured, outside the pickup, KHOU reported.

Lena Credeur was taken to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in undetermined condition.

Officials said the couple may have had a suicide pact, the Chronicle reported, but according to a KPRC report, Claude Credeur's death is being treated as suspicious.

Deputies found the pickup near Highway 87 and Highway 124, one of the hardest hit areas along the coast.
