Dihlon Lee Davis is facing federal charges of sex trafficking of minors, by force, fraud or coercion

PEARLAND, TX -- A Pearland man is behind bars on federal sex trafficking charges after investigators said he forced six Alvin ISD girls into prostitution.
Dihlon Lee Davis, 20, who appeared in court on Tuesday, allegedly pimped six underaged Manvel High School girls who were recruited by his then 17-year old girlfriend.

According to court documents, authorities first learned of the allegations in March 2016, when Davis’ girlfriend got into a fight with another girl that officials said she was trying to recruit.
In April, Alvin ISD police encountered Davis at Manvel High School while he was allegedly trying to lure girls into prostitution, which is when investigators with the Texas Department of Public Safety became aware of Davis.

In May, investigators with the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office obtained a search warrant for Davis’ girlfriend’s cell phone where they allegedly discovered image of underaged girls in their underwear.
According to court documents, investigators also found ads on Backpage.com with many of the same image advertising for sex, with Davis’ contact information.
Investigators said Davis booked several rooms at the Super 8 Motel in Lake Jackson, where the girls were provided drugs by Davis’ girlfriend to perform sex acts with several men for $100 an hour.
One of the underaged girls told authorities that the hierarchy was like a pyramid with Davis at the top, then his girlfriend, and then three of the girls.
The same underaged girl said she went to the Super 8 Motel with Davis and his girlfriend, but did not participate in the prostitution while at least three underaged girls did.
When questioned about the allegations, Davis said the girls actually approached him with the idea and he rented the motel rooms for sex and would drive them there, and that the girls gave him money to pay for gas and drugs.
Meanwhile, Alvin ISD released the following statement:
"Last April, Alvin ISD administrators and police officers were investigating an altercation that occurred between multiple students at Manvel High School. The conflict started after an accusation was made claiming that one of the students was involved in illicit activity, unrelated to the campus. Alvin ISD Police Officers broadened the scope of their investigation to determine the validity of this accusation.
"It was quickly identified that another law enforcement agency, the Texas Department of Public Safety, was actively investigating a 20-year-old adult male who happened to be an acquaintance of one of the students involved in the altercation. The basis of the broader DPS investigation was not focused on activity occurring at the campus and therefore the ongoing investigation was continued by the outside law enforcement agency.
"Alvin ISD assigned appropriate discipline to the students who were involved in the altercation. At the point when the incomplete investigation shifted away from the Alvin ISD Police Department, there was no conclusive evidence indicating that our students had been involved in illicit activity."
If Davis is convicted, he could received a life sentence.
