Small Tornado Touches Down In Iowa Colony
A tornado with winds as high as 60 miles per hour tore down a fence on County Road 62 early Thursday morning.

IOWA COLONY, TX — A band of severe weather that rolled through the Houston area overnight and into Thursday morning, likely spawned a tornado that touched down in Brazoria County.
According to the National Weather Service a small EF-0 tornado with winds of about 60 miles an hour tore down a fence, and tossed debris into yards in a residential area in Iowa Colony.

Residents living in a residential area on County Road 62, told officials they heard the destruction at about 2:30 a.m., KTRK reported.
No one was injured and no other damages have been reported in the immediate area, but officials said damage was reported in nearby Liverpool, Sweeney, and Surfside.
