Texas City Cop Faces DWI Charge After Head-On Crash
Officer Adan Hernandez was charged with driving while intoxicated after hitting a Ford Ranger head-on on State Highway 146.

TEXAS CITY, TX — A Texas City Police officer was arrested Tuesday morning after he crashed his pickup head-on into another pickup on State Highway 146.
The accident happened at about 5:40 a.m., near the intersection of State Highway 146 south and FM 1765.
Investigators said Texas City Police Officer Adan Hernandez, was off-duty at the time and driving a Ford pickup, northbound on 146, when he hit a Ford Ranger pickup head-on as the driver waited to turn, the Houston Chronicle reported.

The driver of the Ford Range was not hurt in the minor accident.
Investigators said Hernandez, was found in the front seat of his pickup when police arrived, and was believed to be intoxicated.

Police later arrested Hernandez and charged him with driving while intoxicated.
