Texas Man Catches 1,000-Pound Shark In Competition

Pulling the shark on board almost capsized the vessel.

TEXAS CITY, TX -- A 964-pound shark is now on the fishing resume of a Texas man who caught the beast during a fishing competition.

Sergio Roque was participating in the 55th Annual Tackle Time Fishing Tournament when the shark hooked itself onto his line. "It's the hardest fight I've ever had in my life, the strongest one," he told ABC 13.

The battle with the massive shark almost sunk Roque's boat.
