Visitors Irked Over Burial Plot Advertisements At Houston Cemetery
Some people complained the bright yellow signs were cheesy and undignified, while others weren't bothered by the signs
HOUSTON, TX — A local cemetery is reaching out to the living in an effort to fill space available plots for departed, or soon to be departed loved ones, and it has some people bothered.
Bright yellow signs can be seen dotting the landscape of headstones and monuments inside the gates of San Jacinto Memorial Park these days.
The signs are simple enough and read, “Space Available, inquire within,” and the number to inquire within about plot prices.

Although there are only a few places where such advertisements might be used, some were upset that the final resting place of their loved ones would be used to generate business, while others felt like those who were offended didn’t need to buy a plot.
