• 18-year-old sentenced to 36 years in prison after guilty plea to Coleman murder (brownwoodnews.com) — An 18-year-old has been sentenced to 36 years in state prison after pleading guilty in Coleman County’s 42nd District Court to the 2025 shooting death of Connor Murphy at a home on East 10th Street in Coleman. The planned jury trial for next week is now canceled, while a co-defendant, the victim’s wife Jennifer Murphy, still faces trial early next year.
