4 Arrested In Tamina Double Murder

NEW WAVERLY, TX — The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has arrested three men and one juvenile in connection to the murders of two men in July.

The three men, and one juvenile, who are between 30 and 16 years old, all faces a variety of charges, including aggravated robbery and capital murder.

Investigators arrested Roman Pray, 18, of New Waverly, Thomas Lizcano, 17, and Roddrick Jordan, 30, both from Conroe, and a 16-year old juvenile.

Pray and Lizcano are both facing capital murder charges, while Jordan was charged with aggravated robbery, the Conroe Courier reported.

The 16-year old juvenile has not yet been officially charged, investigators said.

All four are being held without bond.

The bodies of Jaquise Williams, 23, and Akeem Russell, 24, were found inside a home on July 20 in the 9600 block of Bimms Drive by Montgomery County deputies who were conducting a welfare check of the two men.

Both men had been shot to death.

Montgomery County homicide investigators said the men were killed during a botched armed robbery.

Although four are in custody, investigators said more arrests in this case are possible.

Pray, who was a standout athlete at New Waverly High School a year ago, is looking at a possible death sentence if he is convicted, while Lizcano, who is under 18- could receive a life sentence if found guilty.

Jordan, who has an extensive criminal history, is looking at a minimum of 25 years behind bars if he’s convicted, the Courier reported.
