Conroe Police Arrest Man Who Shot At Officer During Traffic Stop
Raymond Cole Lynch, 27, is charged with assault on a public servant and is being held in the Montgomery County Jail.

CONROE, TX — A man who was seen shooting at a Conroe police officer during a traffic stop on March 27, was arrested on Saturday.
Raymond Cole Lynch, 27, is being held in the Montgomery County Jail without bail, and is charged with assaulting a public servant.
The shooting, which was recorded on the Conroe police officer’s body camera, happened at about 4 a.m. at Interstate 45 and Gladsell Street.

Conroe police said the officer stopped the Lynch, who was driving a black 2005 Lexus, for a defective headlight.

When the officer was alongside the Lexus, Lynch pulled a gun and began firing at the officer.
The officer, who was not hit, shot back but Lynch was able to get away.
About an hour after the shooting, police found the Lexus engulfed in flames off of Crater Hill Road in south Montgomery County.
