• Montgomery County approves selling $35 million in road bonds (communityimpact.com) — Montgomery County commissioners have approved selling $35 million in road bonds, part of a larger $480 million voter-approved package that will fund dozens of transportation projects affecting Conroe and nearby communities. With interest rates higher than expected, officials chose a smaller bond sale that should still keep road work funded through June while the county continues spending about $11 million a month on improvements.
   

• NBA Ben10 Denied Bond After Lawyer Claims Jail Is Failing To Provide Critical Medical Care (newsbreak.com) — A paralyzed rapper known as NBA Ben10 will remain jailed at the Joe Corley Detention Center in Conroe after a federal judge refused to grant bond, despite claims he isn't receiving adequate medical care. His attorney alleges serious gaps in hygiene assistance, therapy, and basic support for his spinal injury, while prosecutors argue he should stay detained pending trial on federal robbery-related charges.
