• Judson school district cuts 536 jobs, moves toward balanced budget (star-telegram.com) — Judson ISD, which serves many Converse students, is cutting 536 positions and closing four campuses to erase a $35 million deficit and move toward a balanced budget. Students from the shuttered schools will be rezoned across nearby campuses, while district leaders plan another November tax-rate election and say remaining staff could see raises if voters approve.
