DPS searching for driver after deadly hit-and-run near Robstown (kiiitv.com) — State troopers based in Corpus Christi are searching for a hit-and-run driver after two pedestrians were struck near Robstown, killing a 23-year-old woman and injuring an 18-year-old man from Corpus Christi. Investigators believe a white 2007–2013 Chevrolet Silverado with front-end and headlight damage was involved. Anyone with information is urged to contact DPS Corpus Christi as the case remains under investigation.
   

2. Nicholas Hernandez requests 'shock probation' to serve remaining sentence outside prison (kiiitv.com) — A Corpus Christi man convicted of criminally negligent homicide in a 13-year-old's 2024 shooting death is asking a local judge for "shock probation," which could move the rest of his five-year sentence outside prison. During Tuesday's hearing, he told the court that time behind bars at age 17 changed his outlook. The judge has not yet ruled, and the case remains closely watched locally.
   

3. Evangeline groundwater fight may last years, Councilman Barrera says (kiiitv.com) — Corpus Christi's long-planned Evangeline groundwater project is on hold as a permit challenge from Sinton and possible changes to Texas groundwater laws threaten to delay it for up to two years. City Council members met in executive session to review the stalled project, while Councilman Roland Barrera warned that legislative uncertainty could reshape the rules that determine how and when the city can tap this aquifer.
   

4. Alamo teen dies in rollover crash near Corpus Christi (valleycentral.com) — A deadly rollover crash near Bishop, southwest of Corpus Christi, killed an 18-year-old Alamo resident and left two Donna teens injured. State troopers from the DPS Corpus Christi Division say the victim grabbed the steering wheel before the truck skidded off FM 70 and rolled multiple times. The Highway Patrol Office in Corpus Christi continues to investigate the incident.
   

5. Tuesday Volleys: Veterans Memorial sweeps Calallen, Carroll beats G-P in five set district thriller (kristv.com) — High school volleyball fans in Corpus Christi saw a big shakeup as Carroll edged Gregory-Portland in a five-set district battle to move up the 29-5A standings. Veterans Memorial also bounced back from a district loss by sweeping Calallen behind strong performances from hitters and setters, keeping the local 5A powers firmly in the playoff conversation.
