Alternative Radio Returns To North Texas One Year After Leaving
One year after 102.1 The Edge went off the air, ALT 103.7 emerges to return Alternative music radio to Dallas.

DALLAS, TX — Alternative rock music has returned to Dallas airwaves after a year of radio silence from the now defunct 102.1 The Edge.
Filling that musical void is Entercom Communications' newest station, ALT 103.7, which premiered Friday, exactly one year after The Edge went off the air. Friday only, listeners can hear 10,000 songs in a row, back-to-back, commercial-free starting at 11:00 a.m.
“We are thrilled to bring alternative back to Dallas-Ft. Worth,” said Pat Paxton, Entercom’s President of Programming. “With the launch of ALT 103.7, we will cater to the core audience who helped define the genre for decades – and we couldn’t be more excited to rewrite history.”
