Harmony Public Schools-North Texas honored community organizations, families, volunteers and educators whose support is helping expand opportunities for nearly 11,000 students across the North Texas region.
The recognitions took place during the district’s annual Partners in Education Celebration in Grand Prairie, where Harmony leaders highlighted the role of community partnerships in supporting students through school supply donations, mentorship, STEM programming, family engagement, staff appreciation, leadership development and campus-based support.
“At Harmony Public Schools, we firmly believe that educating a child takes a community,” North Texas Area Superintendent Harun Karan said. “Because of each of you, our schools are not just places of learning, but thriving environments where students are inspired to grow, achieve and lead.”
The event brought together district leaders, campus representatives, families and community partners from across Harmony’s 18 North Texas campuses.
The celebration also recognized elementary honorees for their contributions to student success and school community engagement. Reynisha Armand Chandler was named Elementary Parent of the Year for her volunteerism and continued campus involvement supporting students and families.
