Arrested Woman, 26, Faces Multiple Felony Charges

She remains in Dallas County Jail in lieu of $150,000 bail.

DALLAS, TX — A 26-year-old woman who police say fled from a traffic stop on June 2 was later arrested at a gambling hall. She now faces eight separate charges.

The woman, Crystal Mendoza, was first pulled over in the 1000 block of Commerce Street when officers learned the car she was driving was stolen, police say.

Mendoza got out of the car at the request of Officers Yi and Gregory. During the stop, she got back in the car and drove away, police say.

She was later found at a gambling hall in the 2900 block of Lombardy Lane, where she was arrested without incident.

Mendoza was booked into Dallas County Jail on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, a State Jail Felony, and Evading in a Motor Vehicle, a 3rd degree felony. She was also charged with possession of one gram of meth.

Mendoza is also held on five separate probation violations in Dallas County, including evading arrest, possession of drugs and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

She is held on $150,000 bail.
