City Survey Asks for Input on Future of City Hall
The results will be included in a May report to City Council.
The Dallas City Council is working on a vision for the future of City Hall and it wants community feedback in the form of a survey. Here's how residents can share their opinions.
The city put out a press release about the survey on Monday. According to the bulletin, the "Open Call for Concepts" will allow residents, business leaders, and developers to share their perspectives on the future of Dallas City Hall and nearby properties.
The city is seeking input on potential adaptive reuse of the existing City Hall building as well as redevelopment opportunities for the broader site including adjacent acreage that will become available after the redevelopment of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.

According to the release, the results of the survey will be included in City Manager Kimberly Bizor Tolbert's report to City Council in May regarding options for the site's future.
Participants can access the "Open Call for Concepts" page via this link. Responses are due by 2 p.m. on May 3. After submissions are reviewed, staff will present the updates to City Council.

The Office of Communications and Customer Experience/311 is also conducting a statistically valid public survey through ZenCity. That survey is also open as of today and will be available for approximately six weeks to collect input on priorities for the future of the government center.
"As we consider the future of Dallas City Hall and the surrounding site, I want every resident to know that their voice matters," Bizor Tolbert said. "We're inviting residents, developers, and planners to share bold, creative, and practical ideas so that whatever path we choose reflects shared priorities and delivers the greatest benefit to the people of Dallas."
