Dallas Latino Cultural Center Hosting Two Gallery Receptions on Friday

The exhibits are presented in partnership with Latino Arts Project and curated by Elena Catalán Roldán.

On Friday night, the Latino Cultural Center is hosting two exhibition openings by artists Jazzamoart and Rodrigo de la Sierra.

The city put out a bulletin with details about the April 17 event yesterday afternoon. The event will feature "The Goals of Painting" by Jazzamoart and "El Mundo es un Juego" by Rodrigo de la Sierra.

The city calls it a "dynamic pairing [that] brings together two influential voices in contemporary Mexican art: exploring play, humanity, and global connection through painting and sculpture."

"The Goals of Painting" (April 18-May 22) highlights Jazzamoart's bolt and expressive style as he takes on the concept of soccer as a universal language.

"El Mundo es un Juego," introduces Timoteo, an iconic figure created by de la Sierra, who is described as a "playful yet profound observer of modern life." The artist invites the audience to reflect on its place in the world through sculpture.

The exhibition arrives as Dallas prepares to welcome a global stage for the 2026 World Cup, where the arts and sports overlap in meaningful ways.

In that spirit, the city invites residents to celebrate an evening of art, culture, and community where creativity and global dialogue take center stage.
