Dallas, Frisco, Fort Worth Named Fastest-Growing U.S. Cities
Dallas gained 18,935 residents in 2017 while Fort Worth gained 18,664. Frisco was also among chart-topping cities.

DALLAS, TX — It's no secret that Dallas is growing. A drive through nearly any neighborhood shows all the signs of growth with new apartments on nearly every corner and houses popping up on formerly vacant lots.
But what some may not know is that Dallas' population grew more in 2017 than most major US cities, including Los Angeles, Austin and San Diego.
When looking not at overall population numbers, but instead at percentage of growth, Frisco, located near Dallas, grew at a rate of more than 11 times faster than the nation's average growth rate.

Fort Worth, meanwhile, surpassed Indianapolis in terms of total population to become the No. 15 largest city in the nation.
