Dallas — Early on Sunday morning, downtown Dallas was the scene of a harrowing shooting incident, the details of which are still under investigation, Dallas Metro News reported. North Texas Crimestoppers, a group dedicated to supporting law enforcement, has offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest in connection with the crime.

Dallas Police Department officers responded to reports of shots fired, arriving at the intersection of Commerce Street and South Pearl Expressway at 2:35 a.m. on July 30. Their rapid response uncovered two gunshot victims.

The injured individuals were quickly taken to a local hospital, where their identities were confirmed and injuries evaluated. However, 22-year-old Mario Shontez Marchbanks lost his life to the injuries, while the second victim, who remains unnamed, is fighting for life in critical condition.
