Dallas Releases Holiday Trash Schedule

DALLAS, TX — Navigating municipal services like trash pickup can be difficult around the holidays. Plus, between food waste and gift-wrapping, trash can pile up quickly. Dallas residents, however, should not be worried about huge delays in trash pickup around Christmas or New Year's Day.

The hard working city employees who make the regular rounds will deservingly spend Christmas with their families this year, but trash pickup schedules will vary by only one day. The City of Dallas has released the holiday schedule to let you know when trash collection will be made on Christmas and New Year's Day.

Monday, Dec. 25, 2017

• Monday garbage and recycling customers picked up on Tuesday, Dec. 26.
• Tuesday garbage and recycling customers picked up on Wednesday, Dec. 27.
• McCommas Bluff Landfill and Bachman Transfer Station closed on Monday, Dec. 25.
• Sanitation Administrative Offices closed on Monday, Dec. 25.

Monday, Jan. 1, 2018

• Monday garbage and recycling customers picked up on Tuesday, Jan. 2.
• Tuesday garbage and recycling customers picked up on Wednesday, Jan. 3.
• McCommas Bluff Landfill and Bachman Transfer Station closed on Monday, Jan. 1.
