Dallas Senior Games Has More Than 1,000 People Signed Up

The games will be held throughout the City of Dallas Park and Recreation Department facilities from February 28 through March 10.

The Dallas Senior Games will kick Thursday with an opening ceremony at Fair Park. The games are an Olympics-styled fitness and leisure contest for adults 50 and older, the organization said in a news release. The ceremony will feature dance performances by senior adults, information fair, 5K run and 1K fun walk through Fair Park.

"Athletes compete in 12 competitive sports and 32 leisure events including cycling, swimming, basketball, bowling, tennis, golf, track, cornhole, table tennis, and more," Dallas Senior Games said in the release.

Competition will be held throughout the City of Dallas Park and Recreation Department facilities from February 28 through March 10.
