DART, ofo Offer Free Rides On Election Day

Voters can travel to the polls for free Tuesday on ofo bikes or DART trains and buses.

DALLAS, TX — Ofo, one of Dallas' dockless bikeshare companies, is helping riders get to the polls Tuesday with all-day free rides. In addition, the company is offering $1 per ride to the Dallas Parks Foundation.

DART is also joining in on the effort to increase voter turnout. DART passengers displaying a valid voters registration card can ride DART free from the hours of 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Texas Primary Election Day, Tuesday, March 6, 2018.

The Dallas Parks Foundation is a local nonprofit that supports the use of Dallas Parks and the development of new recreational facilities within the City of Dallas.

“As a Dallas native, I’m passionate about this city and work hard to ensure ofo is a great community partner,” said Everett Weiler, ofo Dallas General Manager. “As people plan to get out and vote on Tuesday, we want to provide an easy, convenient way for them to do that, while benefiting a great cause here in Dallas. Hop on an ofo bike for free and hit the polls on your way to work, during lunch, or before heading home. Philanthropy is at the core of our business and we are honored to support an organization that does such great work in the city of Dallas while encouraging people to let their voices be heard on Election Day.”
