Denton to Celebrate Fourth of July with Two Community Events

Here are the details.

The City of Denton is celebrating the Fourth of July with two community events.

The city posted the event details to Facebook on Thursday. According to the post, the first event is the Yankee Doodle Parade, which will take place in Downtown Denton Square beginning with pre-parade fun at 8 a.m.

Kicking off at 9 a.m., the parade will start and end at the City of Denton Development Service Center (401 N. Elm St.). Be aware the square will be closing at 6 a.m. on July 4, so all cars must be moved by that time.

At 7 p.m., attendees will be treated to live music by Raised Right Men. The fireworks show starts at 9:30 p.m. Organizers suggest wearing red, white, and blue patriotic gear. Consider bringing lawn chairs, blankets, sunscreen, and water.
