Drunk Driving No-Refusal Weekend Ahead For Irving
Party the night away on New Year's Eve, but don't mess with drinking and driving. Irving's operation cracks down on the dangerous practice.

IRVING, TX – Police in Irving have issued a warning to New Year's Eve celebrants: "Drink. Drive. Go to jail." That's because the weekend of Friday, Dec. 29 and Saturday, Dec 30 is DWI No-Refusal weekend.
The weekend of New Year's Eve brings with it a higher likelihood of drunk drivers putting themselves and others at risk on roadways.
So instead of field sobriety tests or breathalyzers, police will subject every person arrested for drinking and driving to a blood test. According to a press release, officers will seek search warrants for drivers who refuse blood testing.
