Frisco Man Loses Leg In Construction Accident: Reports
A man entangled Thursday morning in a trench-digging machine had his leg amputated, media outlets report.

FRISCO, TX — At least 1,000 North Texans dropped what they were doing Thursday morning to watch a live-streamed video of a man being extracted from a trench-digging machine after an accident led to the unthinkable.
According to media reports, the man was working on a construction site near Main Street and Independence Parkway around 8:55 a.m. when the accident occurred. Emergency responders began the work of extracting the man from the machinery, and a team of doctors arrived by helicopter around 9:36 a.m., the Dallas Morning News reported.
The unidentified man was taken to Medical City of Plano by Air Evac. His condition is unknown at this time, but reports say he is expected to survive the injury. Dallas Morning News reported the man's leg had to be amputated.

KXAS reported the man was awake and conscious after the incident. Officials told the station the workers were laying pipes at a housing development.
