Here are the top three stories today in Dallas:

1. The Historical Freedman's Town Tenth Street neighborhood has been devastated by a series of fires. The fires have put many of its historically significant buildings and homes in jeopardy. Community members organized a press conference to bring attention to the issue and promote protective measures, holding signs to raise awareness. (Dallasweekly)
2. Love Island is seeking charming, authentic Dallas singles who are ready to compete for love and money. Contestants must find a romantic match to qualify for a shot at the $100,000 prize. 3. To reduce costs and address low voter turnout and accessibility issues, Dallas County will offer fewer polling locations for the upcoming May elections. The number of centers will be reduced from 470 to 369.
