Shot Fired At City Of Rowlett Employees: Police

The man allegedly fired a shot toward employees driving a City of Rowlett Water Department truck, police said.

ROWLETT, TX — Police in Rowlett arrested a man suspected of firing a gunshot toward City of Rowlett Water Department employees Wednesday evening. According to a release from Rowlett police, the suspected shooter was arrested.

Water department employees were working in the 10000 block of River Bend Drive around 6:00 p.m. when a man got out of his vehicle and began to remove barricades from the street, police said. The man then went on to drive to his house and go inside.

Later, when the employees drove by in a marked City of Rowlett truck, the man allegedly stepped out of his front door and fired one round toward the truck, police said.

The man was arrested by Rowlett police officers. An investigation is ongoing, police said.
