Nerd Out And Help Break A World Record At Woman Of Wonder Con

The convention features guest appearances from a stunt woman and actress, a female author and a female TV news reporter.

DALLAS, TX — Wether you're a superheroine yourself or a just a fan of the movies, you have a chance to make history this Saturday. Not only can you help Dallas earn a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records, but also you can dive in and network with creative women from a variety of industries.

Women of Wonder Con will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday at the Dallas Public Library. The convention includes guest speakers, panel discussions and creative workshops on comics, graphic design, fine arts, film making and more.

But the fun doesn't stop there. A number of awesome women, even some real superheroine experience, will be giving presentations at the convention. Caitlin Dechelle, an actress, martial arts expert and stunt woman will present alongside author and career coach Lar Park Lincoln and WFAA news reporter Hannah Davis. While you're there, grab a piece of art, jewelry or a book from the Artists Alley.

“Although Women of Wonder’s focuses is on women in creative fields, we encourage everyone to attend the event,” said Dallas Public Library Fine Arts Manager Tiffany Bailey.

To play your part in setting a world record, show up dressed as a female superhero from 6:00 to 7:oo p.m. in front of the library. Click here for more details on the record-setting attempt.
