Fort Worth Police Still Looking for Missing Man
Richard W. Powell was last seen on March 22, 1984.

The Fort Worth Police Department is still searching for a man who went missing in the 1980s.
The department asked for the public's help in finding Richard W. Powell in a Wednesday social media post.
According to the post, Powell was last seen leaving his residence to visit a friend on March 22, 1984. Powell never made it to his destination, and a month later his vehicle was found unoccupied in a restaurant parking lot at 4950 North O'Connor St. in Irving.

Powell was never seen or heard from again. At the time of his disappearance, Powell was 5'7" and 150 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. His pinky fingers on both hands are permanently curved inward. Additionally, he was wearing an orthodontic retainer on his lower teeth.
"The Fort Worth Police Department remains committed to locating any missing individual, regardless of how long they have been missing," the post states. "Our department is looking for any new tips ... that may lead to the whereabouts of Richard W. Powell."

The unit would also like to connect with any family members of Powell who would like to submit DNA for future comparisons.
