Parents, Rejoice: Wyndy App Launching in Dallas-Forth Worth
The Wyndy app will connect families to local, trusted college babysitters - and will give students at TCU and SMU access to flexible jobs

Busy families in Dallas, Fort Worth, and surrounding areas know how hard it can be to get a trusted and reliable babysitter - especially for last minute events and date nights. Luckily, a Birmingham, AL-based Southern startup is changing that for the DFW community. Parents, meet Wyndy.
Wyndy, named so as a nod to Wendy Darling from Peter Pan, is an app-based service that connects families to background-checked, vetted college students in the area for babysitting gigs. In turn, students from schools like TCU and SMU will have access to find flexible jobs based on their schedule. Parents pay sitters directly through the app, so college students can quickly receive a little extra pocket money.
The app is easy to use: as a parent, you simply download the app, set up a profile, post your job specifications, and select your "Wyndy" based on your needs and their qualifications/availability. If you are looking for an even closer recommendation, you can also see which sitters other parents in your network have hired through their Parent Connection feature. As a sitter, you apply online. Once accepted, you also create a profile and select jobs by filtering through the job board feature on the app.

While other services like Care.com or Ubransitter give parents the option to find background-checked sitters, Wyndy does a background check for every sitter on the app so moms and dads can rest assured while they have a night out on the town.
The app will officially be live in Dallas-Fort Worth in early 2019, but parents and sitters in the area can download from the App Store and Google Play now to be put on the waitlist and kept up-to-date with all launch information and news.
