Popular Dallas-based company announces stores closure
Dallas-based Tuesday Morning has issued a declaration of imminent closure for their remaining outlets across Texas

Dallas - In a surprising decision that brings to a close almost 50 years of trading, Dallas-based discount retail giant, Tuesday Morning, announced its impending shutdown of all remaining stores. The news comes on the back of a sequence of closures that has seen many of the firm's outlets cease operation.
Tuesday Morning's program of store closures, which kicked off as far back as February, has already accounted for the closure of 265 stores. As the retailer nears the end of its commercial journey, it's overseeing extensive liquidation sales in its remaining stores, including 59 in its home state of Texas.
In its prime, Tuesday Morning was a major player in the retail industry, with close to 700 stores at the peak of its success, before it filed for bankruptcy in 2020. A recent analysis by Retail Dive reveals the company's current store count stands at 487.

The decision to downsize is part of a strategic plan designed to strengthen Tuesday Morning's presence in its core markets. It's a vital element of the company's restructuring strategy under its ongoing Chapter 11 proceedings.
Speaking about the bankruptcy a few months back, Tuesday Morning's CEO Andrew Berger mentioned that the partnership with Gordon Bros. offers the company liquidity and “the best opportunity to save jobs, serve customers and maximize value for the estate.”
