Storms Possible Monday In North Texas

According to Oncor, some 13,000 customers in Dallas were without Power Monday.

DALLAS, TX — Rain is making its way across the metroplex, creating potential for occasional isolated storms in North Texas before noon Monday.

The National Weather Service said storm chances remain highest along and north of Interstate 20, where winds will be possible.

Most rain will taper off by 11 a.m., leaving a cooler day in its wake. Temperatures are expected to peak at 91 degrees Monday afternoon.

According to energy provider Oncor's website, some 16,000 customers were without power around 9:30 a.m. Monday. In Dallas, more than 13,000 customers were without power.

Rain is expected across mainly the northern portions of the region today as a complex of storms slides across that area this morning. However, some rain may also occur in Central Texas this afternoon if the outflow boundary stalls there. As isolated severe storm is possible but strong winds will be possible with any stronger storms today. High temperatures will range from the mid 80s in the north to around 100 degrees in the south.
