Storms Turn To Winter Weather In North Texas

Drivers in some areas could see slick roadways Wednesday morning. Patch will bring you the latest on this winter weather.

Strong storms and high winds across the North Texas area will give way Tuesday evening to below-freezing temperatures overnight. Precipitation will switch from rain to freezing rain northwest of the metroplex as a Winter Weather Advisory goes into effect.

The area impacted by the National Weather Service advisory, which remains in effect until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, is mostly north of the line formed by Gainesville, Weatherford and Eastland.

Ice accumulations of up to one-tenth of an inch could cause slick roadways. Drivers are cautioned to drive with care Wednesday morning.
