Strong Storms Possible Across Metroplex Monday
Brief tornados, strong winds and flash flooding are possible Monday and Tuesday.

DALLAS, TX — Thunderstorms possible of creating strong winds and brief tornados are possible in North Texas Monday, the National Weather Service warns.
The main threats caused by this storm system are strong winds, heavy rainfall and flash flooding.
The Weather Service said the strongest storms will occur west of the I-35E corridor in Dallas, with damaging winds north and west of a line formed by Lampasas, Corsicana and Bonham.

Storms will continue into Tuesday with main threats remaining north of Highway 380. The flooding of poor drainage areas will be the primary threat.
Heat index values beginning Thursday will be between 100-105, especially east of Interstate 35, the Weather Service warns.
