That's right, Dallas-Fort Worth: Valentine's Day weekend this year might be a bit of a gloomy one. Here's what you need to know about the rain in the forecast and how to plan around it.

On Monday, the National Weather Service Fort Worth posted a graphic on social media that shows a light chance of rain from late Tuesday through Wednesday morning caused by an upper level disturbance.

Although a weak cold front will pass through the North Texas area, temperatures are expected to stay above normal and the rainfall should total less than a tenth of an inch.

However, conditions are on track to change by the start of Valentine's Day weekend. In another Monday post, the service said shower and storm chances will increase "with the arrival of the next upper-level storm system and cold front."

The service is showing a 40% chance of rain on Friday and an 80% chance on Valentine's Day proper. By Sunday, the sun will be out and the high will be a temperate 68 degrees.
