Woman Shot In Ankle While Walking Track At Skyline High School

The shooting suspect, an unidentified woman, was arrested in a nearby neighborhood, a school spokesperson said.

DALLAS, TX — A woman walking the track Thursday morning at Skyline High School in East Dallas was injured when she was shot in the ankle.

Robyn Harris, a district spokeswoman, told Patch the woman was walking with a group of other women around 5:30 a.m. at the school at 7777 Forney Road when they were approached by a woman in her 20s.

The suspect talked to the women for a time, then began shooting a gun toward them, Harris said. One woman was shot in the ankle.

Harris said the suspect fled to a local neighborhood where she lived. Police later found the woman in the neighborhood and arrested her.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
