• Texas family files lawsuit alleging cover-up in crash that left teen paralyzed (houstonstringer.com) — A Liberty County family has filed a civil lawsuit over a 2020 high-speed crash in Dayton that left then-16-year-old Madelyn Marina Quiroz paralyzed. They allege investigators mishandled the case, lost or failed to preserve key evidence, and allowed unauthorized access to the crash scene, and are now seeking over $1 million plus court-ordered preservation of remaining records.
