AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Department of Public Safety is seeking help from the public in finding 10 people involved in crimes during protests against police brutality at the State Capitol in late May, officials said Wednesday.

The 10 unidentified individuals are wanted on misdemeanor and/or felony charges, including riot, criminal mischief (vandalism), assault on a public servant, attempting to take a weapon from a peace officer and interfering with public duties, law enforcement officials said in an advisory. The incidents are said to have occurred during protests that erupted in downtown Austin on May 30 centered primarily around the state Capitol building, officials said.

To enhance identification, officials released images of the protesters sought, gathered by Texas Department of Public Safety special agents and crime analysts as part of a lengthy investigation, police said. Law enforcement agents already have arrested seven individuals on felony and misdemeanor charges in connection with a variety of crimes that occurred during the protests, officials said.
