2 Dead, 3 Injured In North Austin Rollover Crash
Emergency workers said three vehicles were involved in Saturday afternoon collision along 9500 Research Boulevard.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — Two people died and three others were seriously injured in a rollover crash involving three vehicles in North Austin Saturday afternoon.
The collision occurred along the southbound lane of 9500 Research Boulevard at around 3:30 p.m. Austin police urge motorists to avoid the area.
Austin-Travis County EMS officials said via Twitter one of the victims was ejected from a vehicle in the impact of the collision. A woman in her 30s and a man in his 20s are among the dead, EMS officials said.

Another patient was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. EMS officials said they also rushed a man in his 40s and a teenage girl to the hospital with serious injuries.
Later in the day, another collision in East Austin also claimed two lives —prompting Austin Police Department Police Chief Brian Manley to urge people to drive safely. Less than three hours after the North Austin crash, two people were killed in the Montpolis section of the city after a vehicle caught fire. That collision occurred along the 6400 block of East Riverside at Vargas Road.
