From my notebook:
- The University of Texas at Austin Police Department (UTPD) warns the community about a Scam Alert! Callers are pretending to be police by using fake names and possible software that makes your caller ID falsely show that the call is coming from a local police department. The scammer may say that you need to pay a fine in order to avoid criminal charges. UTPD reminds you that they will never give advance warning of an arrest nor solicit money for unpaid fines. Do not give out any personal information over the phone! Stay safe, everyone!" (Facebook)
- "A neighbor in the Covered Bridge area shares the following information: To check if you live in a high-risk wildfire area in Austin, go to (kxan.com) and zoom in to your area or enter your address to see what the level of fire danger is in your community." (Nextdoor)
- "A neighbor in Spillman Ranch has a foster puppy named Kodak that is ready for adoption. If you are looking to add a new pet to your family, check out Kodak | Addicus' Legacy (addicuslegacy.org)." (Nextdoor)
