5 Austin-Area Harmony Campuses Earn "A" Ratings in TEA Release

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) officially released its school accountability ratings today, highlighting exceptional academic achievement across Harmony Public Schools - Central Texas. Out of nine campuses serving Pre-K through 12th-grade students in the Austin metroplex, five campuses earned an overall "A" rating, with two campuses sweeping 100% of their eligible Distinction Designations.

These academic accomplishments come as Harmony continues to deliver high-quality outcomes across diverse student populations. Across the Central Texas region, 51.3% of students are economically disadvantaged and 52.7% are Emergent Bilinguals, demonstrating that rigorous STEM education, character building, and tailored support drive success for every child.

"From long-standing campuses to brand-new schools in their very first rating cycle, our teams have proven that high expectations and a supportive community yield extraordinary results."

Understanding TEA Distinction Designations
TEA Distinction Designations are awarded to recognize campus achievement relative to 40 other similar campuses state-wide based on student demographics. Eligible schools and districts can earn distinctions in up to seven performance categories:

• Academic Achievement in Reading/Language Arts (school level)
• Academic Achievement in Mathematics (school level)
• Academic Achievement in Science (school level)
• Academic Achievement in Social Studies (school level)
• Top 25 Percent: Comparative Academic Growth (school level)
• Top 25 Percent: Comparative Closing the Gaps (school level)
• Postsecondary Readiness (district and school level)

Earning 100% Distinction Designations represents the highest level of performance, indicating that a campus earned every single distinction for which it was eligible.

Local Campus Highlights

Harmony Science Academy - Leander (PK4–7th Grade): Earned a TEA "A" rating in its very first rating cycle after opening in the 2025–2026 school year. HSA-Leander earned an Overall Score of 95, a 94 in Closing the Gaps, and achieved a perfect 100% Distinction Designations sweep (8.8% Economically Disadvantaged | 43.1% Emergent Bilingual).

Harmony School of Endeavor (PK4–12th Grade): Earned an overall TEA "A" rating, featuring an impressive score of 97 in Relative Performance—the measure TEA uses to evaluate a campus against schools serving similar economic profiles. The campus earned a perfect 100% Distinction Designation. Endeavor also achieved an extraordinary score of 98 in Closing the Gaps, evaluating outcomes for every student group, including Emergent Bilingual students and those receiving special education services (34.8% Economically Disadvantaged | 41.7% Emergent Bilingual).

Harmony Science Academy - Cedar Park (PK4–5th Grade): Delivered strong academic results with an Overall Score of 91 and a score of 86 in Closing the Gaps (17.7% Economically Disadvantaged | 48.7% Emergent Bilingual).

Harmony Science Academy - Pflugerville (6th–12th Grade): Showcased high academic performance by earning an Overall Score of 95 and a 95 in Closing the Gaps while serving a high-need student demographic (68.7% Economically Disadvantaged | 41.8% Emergent Bilingual).
