Convicted Austin Rock Thrower Offered 40-Year Imprisonment Plea Deal

AUSTIN, TX -- The man accused in a string of rock-throwing incidents victimizing dozens of motorists over a two-year span has been offered a 40-year prison sentence in a plea deal, according to a published report.
Patrick Johnson, 60, the person police believe is the one responsible for the rock throws on unsuspecting motorists -- including one victim who sustained brain damage and another who suffered vision loss 00 didn't make a decision whether to accept the plea deal at a Monday hearing, with his next hearing scheduled for Nov. 10, the Austin American-Statesman reported.
Johnson is already serving a 99-year prison sentence for an unrelated conviction of sexual assault of a minor. He was convicted of having oral sex with a boy between the age of 13 and 15.

After nearly two years of rock throws victimizing motorists, police finally zeroed in on Johnson as a suspect after realizing he had made numerous calls to police to report rock throws, and had a knack for being at the scenes of several of those incidents.
